Voices Of Awareness Conference

July 27th, 2019 at 11AM to 1PM

On July 27th, 2019 the Voices for Awareness Foundation will be  host to  nationally known speakers shedding light and bringing to hope to the crisis our valley faces concerning  substance abuse, addiction, overdose, counterfeit drugs and self- harm/suicide. A panel of prestigious community and state leaders are attending as support to our area on this epidemic and the stigma related to these issues. Resources from all over our state will be providing information for those needing assistance and bringing  awareness. There are no social or cultural boundaries for addiction and mental health decline.  It is crucial to bring awareness to the forefront. Please attend and make a difference!

About The Conference Speakers

Craig Miller

Picture
Keynote Speaker
Award winning author, speaker, and photographer featured in the life-changing documentary The S Word.

At twenty-years-old, Craig Miller attempted to end his own life. He sat on the edge of a rented bed and swallowed two hundred and fifty pills. He lay back and closed his eyes, never imagining that a note he wrote to himself fourteen years earlier would be what would save his life. That note, written across the creases of a tear stained paper, read: "Don't ever forget how this feels."
